I have told you about this free interactive war game I play called earth 2025. I understand that its not as exciting to watch as the average video game, and playing a text-based internet computer game is not your idea of a good time.

However, all I ask is that you try it out! If all you play is a country, once you get the hang of it, it takes maybe 20 minutes a day to play. When you learn more about the clan politics, perhaps you will want to spend more time on it, maybe not. But I know you have time to try it out for a month anyways.

Here’s how the game works. You go to https://games.swirve.com/earth/ and there are lots of games you can log into (have to create an account first). My friends and I play in the Alliance server. Also on this page you can click gaming rules that tell you information about the game, how to play, and some specifics about it. I will try to summarize how the game is played.

Every 30 minutes, your country gets a turn (over the course of 24 hours, this is 48 turns). With your turn, you can for the most part, build, explore, cash, spy, tech, or attack. Attacking is the most fun, but takes the most care. Which option you choose with your turn will be determined by what direction you want your country to go in.

There are several governments that you can choose to be, for example, Democracy, Communism, Theocracy, Fascism, Tyranny, and Monarchy. Once again, which government you want to be will be determined by its benefits, drawbacks, and what you want to do with your country.

There are a handful of strategies that are popular based on prior success. Republic Casher, Demo Casher, Commie Industrial, and Theo Techer are the most used. So which you are or want to be will determine how you use your allotment of turns each day. For example, Rep Casher will do lots of attacking, building, and later in the game, cashing.

Another element that makes the game fun is war. There are different attacks you can make, most popular are Planned Strike and Standard Strike. However in war, other attacks used include Bombing Runs, Guerrilla Strikes, and Missile attacks.

Well, who does the attacks? Your military! No matter what your strat, you will have some military. There are troops, jets, turrets, and tanks. These guys are both to defend your country and to attack other countries, so you have to be careful how you use them.

Like I said, when you get the hang of it, playing your country doesn’t take that long. There are many quality clans that you can play in, but you will of course start in my clan, SancTuarY, because firstly it rocks, and lastly because I’m in it! If you want to continue playing in following resets, and you continue to play well, it is possible for you to get cool promotions depending on how into the game you want to get.
